How do you find out how much you can purchase a company for with stocks?

I want to know how much a company could be sold for?

Answer 1

This is fairly simple. Go to Yahoo Finance, and go to Get Quotes.

Then put a stock ticker in the box, for example K for Kellogg Co.

Then look at the Market Cap: $20.02B

That means that Kellogg could probably be bought for around $20.02 Billlion or more.
