People will do anything for power liberals or conservatives, some are ethical and some are not. I wish you could point out to what kind you refer or give some examples. Otherwise is like asking why do conservatives do anything for money?

After 6 years of Republicans running things unchecked, its time for oversight and accountability. The Gop is literally self destructing due to its corruption. Somebody has to manage things.
Holden: Think of it as a political intervention. Much of what the Bush administration does has been destructive to America and the stability in the Middle East. Just for starts, Bush's war authorization needs to be revoked and the MCA re written to protect habeas corpus. Democrats don't seek power as an end in its self. Its important to remove bad laws, place checks on the Executive branch and restore constitutional balances of power. But unlike Republicans, the ends don't justify the means.

And Conservatives don't? The words "pot", "kettle" and "black" come to mind. How did Shrubby get his current job? Your memory must be failing, allow me to enlighten you. He lost the election by over 500,000 votes. His cronies, or I should say his daddy's cronies, got him in through the Fascist Supreme Court. I bet you're one of the deluded people that thinks America is a Democracy. 2000 should have proved that wrong to you. In fact, the US never has been a Democracy. It was intended to be a Republic.
