I think it would be a good idea. If people have money for drugs, why do they need government assistance? Why should taxpayers have to subsidize drug habits?

What I'd like to see along this "fiscally responsible social engineering" line is surgeons having to take a breathalyzer test before being allowed to work on patients. It's appalling how many people are drunk on the job. I hear it's being done now with commercial pilots. Boozers, from whatever economic group, cost the U.S. taxpayer more money by far than government assistance does. If we stopped boozers, drunk driving, beer drinking at sports events and such, this would be a much healthier, safer, wealthier nation. It's really contributing to a terrible death toll on the highways, is involved in MOST violent crimes, and is contributing significantly to the collapse of the healthcare system.

Pretty idea, but won't work. So all those people that fail, what do we do with them? Leave them to live on the streets? Property values, city beauty, etc would all go down, while crime rate would go up. Do we jail them? Mmmm costs more to keep a man/women in jail then to give a check every month. Unfortunately Australia has been settled so we can't send them there. So tell me what do we do after they are cut off?

definite I trust you, i'm specific it is going to advance a team of themes approximately privateness etc... yet i think of drug checking out somebody receiving welfare/government advantages might help provide up the misuse of monies this is meant to help families in desire, no longer families with a desire . regrettably people who fail the drug tests are nevertheless in desire of help, so with a bit of luck in the event that they ever do determine to attempt for drugs, they theory relating to the ramifications of punishing those human beings in a fashion the place their toddlers wont ought to flow hungry or be homeless through fact of their mothers and dads drug conduct.
