I'm 32 weeks pregnant. Around 1:45(im in school so i know the times i go to the bathroom) I went to the bathrrom and everything was fine. About 3:30 I went again and there was slight bleeding. It was bright red, but after that it was gone. I haven't have cramping or anything. My doctor's office is closed until Monday, what should I do? And does anyone have any clue what the bleeding was from? I haven't had sex in months and my last exam was about 4 weeks ago.

I have been pregnant 5 times and never bled that late in my pregnancy. Please call the Dr's office I'm sure they have an emergency line. Better to be safe then sorry.

If it is just when you wipe and there is no cramping you should be okay till the doctor office opens on Monday, however if there is more blood between now and then you should call their answering service and speak your concerns to the doctor on call. There are many factors that could be in play as to why you are bleeding. I am 31 weeks and spotted a few days ago. Went to the doctor and found out that my cervix was "irritated" due to a severe cough I've had for the past two weeks. So try to remain calm and if it would help you stress less you should go ahead and call for peace of mind.

You need to seek medical attention asap to confirm what it is. I don't like the "bright red" blood. This could be a sign of abuptia placenta, which is a premature separation of the placenta and you could lose your child. Usually, this is also accompanied by a lot of bleeding, and pain, but not always. But, some women also do get spotting for no reason, or for other reasons eg/ a bleed in the cervix. Do not take bleeding lightly. Go to your hospital asap and get checked over. Best of luck! Michelle

I have 2 babies and have had 3 pregnancies. We lost a baby at 21 wks due to genetic complications.Anytime you have bright red bleeding you should go to the hospital. Bright red is usually labor. If it was dark or brown it would mean it was old blood and whatever was going on has stopped. i would just go ahead and go to the hospital. Good luck.

Don't panic - but call your doctor's office tonight. Any OBGYN is going to have a service. If not, go to an urgent care or ER - just to be safe.

It could vary from absolutely nothing, to something major. You should go to the ER as soon as possible. As long as baby is moving and there is no cramping, you should be in good shape, but your baby's life is nothing to mess around with.

I would call the answering service. They will definately put you in touch with the on-call nurse. Run in past the nurse and see what she says.
