I would recommend driving as little as possible. I would say Orlando probably has the worst drivers in America and its even worse in spring break!! That's about it! Everything else is wonderful. Oh actually stay out of lakes and ponds because there are alligators in there!! But besides that you should be fine. Disney World is tons of fun!

City Walk at Universal is overrated and expensive, so I would avoid that. Our best restaurants are the Ale House and Smokey Bones barbeque.

As far as where to go, that depends on your interests. The theme parks are going to be packed, so you might think about heading to some of the state parks or the beach. If you like the crowds, go to Daytona. If not, try for Cocoa, Melbourne, or even up to St. Augustine.

If you're going to be using the highways, bring plenty of change. We have a lot of toll roads here- the 528, 403, 417, and the Turnpike are all toll roads and they're not always marked so on signs or maps.

If the water parks are open, I would go to Wet and Wild, rather than any of the Disney owned parks. Disney is a total rip off on all levels.

If you're into shopping and junk shops, International Drive is the place to go. There are lots of outlet stores and smaller amusement parks like Fun Spot there. It's also funny tourist watching out there. We get a lot of Europeans in that area, and it's fun listening to them talk and try to find their way around.

Have fun and beware the drivers.

Avoid the free tickets and the super discount tickets. That is a scam. You will have to sit through an endless timeshare presentation and very high pressure sales, that can take up to 3 to 4 hours. If you do not stay for that time, you will not get the tickets. Besides some may want to give you "free" tickets only if you pay the processing fee ( the same cost as the tickets).

Beware.

I frankly think that Universal Studios is boring, and a big waste of money. Also, if you don't want to waste a whole day of your trip, avoid the "Free Park Ticket" booths. You will have to take a tour of a time share and endure relentless sales pitches. If that doesn't bother you, then try them.
