They think they're winning. They just don't have the foggiest what the goal is, except in the vaguest generalities...which is exactly what Bush wants them to think.

If the UN had a back bone we would not be in Iraq. Since when is it a occupation when you help a country start a new life.Remember , every war we have fought the country we fought in was rebuilt by US taxpayer better then it was before. Look at Berlin & japan Thjird world to the top of the heap & all it took was a war lost to the United States.We are trying to do that now with Iraq but out side powers are afraid what might happen if the Iraqies Goven them self.The Dems are afrid two They are afraid Gw might win this war & the cant stand to be seen as Cut & runners.So they want to cut of the funds & garantee a lose.

Invasion was both necessary and just - our occupation is temporary until Iraq is ready to handle its own security against an insurgency that is fighting AGAINST the Iraqis' right to govern themselves.
