a lot of people thought it was too far fetched and that they jumped the shark. but i liked it. it fit with the last two episodes.

I was a bit disappointed in this last episode, but I was very glad to see that Meredith lived. She's the star of the show. But I also heard that another character is leaving. It might be Addison because I heard that she's going to be a lead in a spin off.

She did live after the trauma team was able to warm up her body with a gastric lavage, but not before she had a harrowing out of body experience where she met up with Denny, Izzy's boyfriend, the paramedic who died holding the live bomb removed from a patient, the scrub nurse of Meredith's mom, who died from cancer and another patient who died from a a stab wound to the stomach that Meredith treated. They all made her face her fears & admit she almost gave up in the water & then sent her back. On the way way back she met her mom, who had just died of cardiac arrest. They embraced & her mom told her she was proud her & she loved her & then she opened her eyes.

Well, Meredith is fine and alive. But, Meredith's mother dies. And they still don't know what the pregnant lady's name is.

Richard, Miranda and Preston worked on Meredith as Addison's beeper went off and she had to go to her Jane Doe patient. Miranda warned her not to say anything to the interns.

Miradeth is talking to Dylan and Denny and saying that she would not have called on them of all people she would have called on Dog. Poof magically dog appears. Dylan and Denny want Meredith to talk about something but they don'tell her what.

Derek is sitting in a lobby with a man who is wondering about what is up with his wife. Derek mentions his girlfriend was hurt too. The man says it is in the doctor's hands. Derek agrees. The asks for Meredith's name. Derek gives it. The man says he will put her in his prayers. Derek says thank you.

Meredith is saying she drowned. The guys want to know about the water. The girl who died impaled stuck to a man is there too. As is the nurse who knew her mother and died of liver failure.
They tell her they are running out of time. Meredith does not understand. the blond girl starts bleeding out again and Meredith starts trying to save her but it is no good and the girl and the nurse disapear.

Addison runs into the for interns and tells them she has to go to Jane Doe but that Meredith is not doing well and they should prepare for the worst. Alex wants to go with her. Christina wigs out and leaves the hospital saying she can't take it anymore. Izzy is still muttering that mMeredith can't die, she can't.

Dylan and Denny are playing good cop bad cop but the point is Meredith has to talk about the water. Why did she drown. Meredith won't say> The Blonde girl returns to talk about being a fighter but that it only seemed that way because she was on drugs. And then she starts bleeding out again. Meredith send Dylan after tools but he just disapears and so does the girl again.

Meanwhile Ellis is having a fit and Mark is pushing lorazapam to calm her down because Burke is with Meredith.

Denny is trying to get it across to Meredith she should not be there. She just stopped trying. Why? Dylan comes back and is saying he should not be there he died saving Meredith's life. His job was done. It is brought up that Meredith has much to live for like Derek.

Richard is losing it. He refuses to give up on Ellis's daughter, on "His girl", (They slid that one in). He will not pronounce her dead until her temperature has been restored. They start a warm water levage.

The conversation about all Meredith has left behind gets deeper as it is pointed out thet George lost his fathe, Izzie lost Denny, Christina lost her father in a car wreck at age nine and they are not ready to lose her too. She need to talk about the water.
Christina has made her way to a dollar store and is buying everythng in sight sticking it in her shopping cart.

Alex and Addison are dealing with their patient who thinks for a moment that Alex is her husband. They tell her he is not and ask her who she is but she has amnesia. Addison is worried about her lungs and tells Alex to do a medical history and work up on her to see what he can learn

Meredith is alone searching for something to save the patient who keeps dying. Denny tells her it won't matter. Meredith says i can save her if you would just let me. Denny tells her it doesn't make a difference. Not like with Derek.

Izzie checks in on Miranda, Preston, and Richard, and Miranda tells her to get out. Miranda tells Callie to take her interns and put them to work somewhere. This is when they learn that Christina is not in the hospital. Peston is worried but hold it in.

In Ellis's room Derek is sitting in a chair when Ellis tells her to give him some water. He does, but he tells her that Meredith may not make it and it is her fault. She told Meredith that she was ordinary. Addison hears him and gets him out of the room telling him that Ellis would have no idea what he is talking about.

With Meredith they are getting her to realize that this will crush Derek. he will lose himself if he loses her.

At Joe's bar Christina is getting drunk as she tells Joe about all the things she bought for 99 cents. Only in America. Joe points out a chair was made in Taiwan. She said to let her grieve and just look at her stuff.

Sydney is still running the desk in the clinic trying to help patient's families but ther is no new info. She mentions that they donate blood.

Alex is talking to Jane Doe, who knows nothing about her life or her baby. He mentions that his friend is also in the hospital and that is why he seems so distant.

Preston goes to Joe to get Christina back and tell her that she can not stay there while her person is dying. She will not come back from doing that. His beeper goes off as Richard and Miranda have decided it is time for a bypass to try and bring Meredith's temperature back up. He has to go back to perform the procedure.

Callie is giving blood as Izzie is checking for AB+ for Meredith. Callie thinks Izzie has a problem with her. Izzie tells her it is none of her business. She is not one of the group. Callie rips out her own needle and pulling a screen behind her lays it on the line saying they could be friends and she may need one the way people keep dying around her but to stop getting in between her and George. Izzie says that is up to George.


Preston starts the bypass.

Back at Ellis room she has gone code blue and Derek must jump in and try and save her. Her heart is stopping. they need Burke but he is in with Meredith doing the bypass.

Meredith is breaking down. She is admitting to Denny that she stopped swimming. She tells him not to tell anyone that. She is not ready to give up on life. She is not ready to give up on Derek. She has not had enough of Derek.

Meanwhile, her temperature is up to normal and she is not coming back to life yet. Miranda thinks she has seen a hope but it is not there. Richard is losing hope. Preston is just keeping his eye on the bypass.

In Ellis's room she is flatlining and Derek is saying don't die on me.

Meredith is not ready to give up on Life she wants to go back now. She has to go back now. How does she go back now? Suddenly she sees her mother standing there in surgical scrubs.

George finds Izzie and wants to know what she told Callie. Izzie is telling that he is making a mistake. He tells Izzie that he may be making a mistake but she is making one too because if he is making a mistake he will need her and if not she is killing their friendship.

Richard is ready to stop with Meredith when in walks Christina and tells them they can not stop. As she touches Meredith's feet Christina implores them to try one more time and they do.

Meredith is told to walk to her mother and they hug and tel each other that they should not be here. Ellis tells Meredith that she needs to go back that she was never ordinary and she needs to go run back and prove that. Ellis walks toward the others and Meredith runs toward the doors and the great white light.

Poof magic they have a heart beat. Meredith is back and Christina is crying.

Ellis is dead.

Addison is back and happy to see that Meredith is breathing on her own. Miranda nd Richard are free to leave as Christina is there to watch over Meredith and Preston is there to close things up.

Eventually Meredith tries to speak and Christina is trying to make out what she is saying. Christina holds Merediths face in her hands and the first word out of Meredith's mouth is "Ouch". The next thing out of Christina's mouth is thank you for not dying and now I can tell you I am getting married to Burke. Meredith smiles.

later they get Meredith in her own room and Derek comes to her. He has to tell her the bad news but she tells it to him instead. She knows her mother died but she is sure that it is okay.

Outside, Addison and Mark notice this love and Addison says he never cared for her the way he cares for Meredith. Mark says that he cared for her like that. She tells him if Mark can go 6 months without an affair then she will marry him. He says thae same goes for her. She asks who she would have an affair with?

With Jane Doe, Alex is telling her that he has learned alot about her like she doesn't smoke or drink andshe is 32 with a little girl. he tells her he knows more about her than he knows about most of his friends.

At the desk in the lobby Sydney is telling Miranda she heard about what she did with Meredith and tells Miranda that she is going to be tough to beat for chief resident. Miranda waits until Sydney moves on and agrees with her.

In Ellis's room Richard is saying his goodbyes , saying how she did not die when she came down with Alzhiemers. he will miss her voice. He tells her he even dyed his hair for the ladies.

In Meredith's room Derek and her are spooning in her hospital bed.

In the locker room, Izzie is trying to tell George that she values their friendship but he is just not in the listening mood. He gets dressed and walks out on her.

Izzie is lonely as she walks out the door toward the exit when she stops and feels like she is not alone. Suddenly Denny's ghost is there next to her. She takes a breath and starts to walk again as he stays behind.

The voice over starts about how we can never understand miracles but they do happen.
