NMSU will most likely have to win there conference tournament. An automatic bid is hard to come by when you are a mid-major. Most bids will go to teams in good conferences. Also, looking at there schedule, there only quality win is against Nevada. The only other quality team they played is Arizona who is struglling and they lost. So there best chance is to win there confereence tournament or they probably won't make it. Hope this helps.

They are on the bubble. With their RPI, they can be in trouble. If the number of teams at .500 or better in the major conferences are high, NMSU are in trouble. There are no guarantees as to who is in and who is out, but .500 in conference for major conferences will get you in. The committee this year are looking at road wins and strength of schedule now. If teams like Duke, Arizona, Syracuse, Texas Tech, Oklahoma St., Tennessee, and Alabama get to .500 in their conference there will not be many spots left. Also, teams like BYU, Air Force, UNLV, Winthrop, Davidson, Creighton, VCU, and Missouri St. will hurt their chances for the mid major possibilities.

if the WAC has a conference tournament and NMSU wins it, they get an automatic bid into the tournament. But if they fail to win it then it's going to be based on their RPI and strength of schedule outside their conference.

Easy, Conference winners and usually the second place team in the coference if they play a repetable schedule. NMSU will be in the tournament if they have a decent placing in the conference tournament. place 1-3 and they are in because of their record.

They can but they need to win the conference tourny and Nevada's in that conference so you proably won't unless Nevada leaves the conference which rarely happens

i might could make a case for UCLA to make a hell of a run. They definitely have residing house container benefit up till the elite 8. Their video games are in California. Their best opposition would be against Kansas and that they're going to stand it in Sacramento, California which remains quite of their own returned backyard.

hard to say if they will
if you are in the top 25 you are in, or if you can win the conference or the conference tournament
i would say they still have a chance, but even if they do make it they may get crushed because they wouldn't have a very good seed

I doubt they'll make it with the talent that's out there this year. Too many teams are on the fringe.
