Most likely you will need a license. Some states require a test to be taken to get a license to be a plumber or electrician. I suggest you call your local town hall or licensing agency to ask them.

You need a business license and a contractor's license if you are going to install plumbing in homes or businesses.

In order to be legit in Texas you need a master plumbers license. When my dad took this, the program was administered through the State of Texas.

I suggest that you search Yahoo on "master plumber license Texas" and see where it leads you.

Good Luck.

Well if you are a private plumper no, as long as you don't work for Big companies that need a licensed plumber. Or if their is an ordinance in the city you are a plumber at. But if there's no problem with the city ordence hey go for it and don't worry not unless having to work on contact works.
