They are both HOF players. One doesn't have a better chance than the other.

When A-Rod was playing SS he was the best player at that position. Jeter still isn't the best SS in MLB. A-Rod is superior to Jeter defensively and offensively. His only fault is that he was never on a team that could make it to the WS, which is something beyond his control.
A-Rod is a year younger than Jeter, but also has appeared in more seasons. In roughly the same amount of at bats this is what they have done:
ARod 2067 Hits 1358 Runs 464 HR 1347 RBI 241 SB .305 BA .386 OBP .573 SLG
Jeter 2150 Hits 1277 Runs 183 HR 860 RBI 249 SB .317 BA .388 OBP .463 SLG

They're both getting in 5 years after they retire, but A-Rod is the better candidate.

Jeter has benn a shoe in for the HOF for years. I think A-Rod has a great chance but no player has a better chance than Jeter even if he retired this year.

I would say that both are going to be in the HOF. It seems that Jeter is more media friendly so he may have a bigger percentage of the votes than A-Rod. But as far as a better chance, both of them are in hands down. A-Rod is going to have the numbers while Jeter is going to have his legacy.

A-Rod has a better chance because of the numbers. Career average-hits-SB etc are all similar but A-Rod will be a shoo in because Jeter will end up with about 300 HR compared to A-Rod's 700. How could you EVER deny a guy with 700 dingers??

You cant compare this two great basebally players and by the end of their career their next stop Is the Hall Of Fame (first ballot), but as far as career success A-Rod won the MVP twice in his career but no World Series Ring. Jeter hasn't won the MVP but won 4 world series. IF ur comparing them whos going to make it in to the HOF both of them will end up in the HOF. GO YANKEES!!!

Look they are both star players who will be first ballot HOF, but let's face it in sports the postseason is the most important thing. Not only those Jeter have 4 rings he also has a .300+ average in the postseason and he can deliever in the clutch. He is also a dedicated captain who knows how to be a leader. A-Rod can just not comapre to those stats ever since he went to the Yankees.

No way. Jeter is 100000 times better then A Rod. I'm a fan of both, but as of now Jeter is way better then A Rod.

Well you can bet your button that if A-Rod continues with his homerun pace up until the end of his career, he will have a good opportunity to make the Hall. Both Jeter and A-Rod are strong Hall candidates

I thinkn Jeter has a better chance because of what he has done in the playoffs and the regular season and the way people react to his everyday achievements not too long ago The yankee fans were booing arod out of the stadium and i havent heard any yankee fan displeased with the sucess or failure of derek Jeter

I would vote for Jeter more strongly than A-Rod, but like Adam writes They are both equally worthy of HOF.
