they have almost nothing in common so I don't think they should be compare... I wouldn't choose they are both extraordinary.

Another meaningless question... two totally different sounds & styles - serious Gabriel & goofy Byrne; Gabriel has performed from 1974 until now, Heads split up ages ago; Gabriel with top class musicians (Marotta/Katche, Levin, Fripp); Heads with just their basic four (OK, Belew on one album)... why would anyone PREFER either? I like them both, but in very different ways, and, of course, Gabriel is more frequent in my playlists because he publishes albums regularly.

Early Heads was a bit Punky but late 70's early mid 80's they rocked...but i think gabriels body of work ever-so slightly surpasses them from his Genesis days to present
