It is a bit of a run on. Also, there needs to be a comma before the quotes and the period at the and needs to be inside the quotes. Consider this revision.
For example, for my 12th birthday she bought me a picture for my bedroom. It shows purple flowers, sweet swirls, and it says, "Believe in yourself and the magic will happen."

Firstly, it's grammar*, not grammer.

I would put ...a picture for my bedroom...
'Believe in yourself, and the magic will happen'
