Think of taking a polygraph as kinda like taking the SAT. Try to get a good night's sleep, don't drink or eat anything with caffine in it and most of all try to stay relaxed through out the whole process. you can easily stress your self out but just relax and try not to "overthink" any of you answers. Also you can ask the examiner about the whole process before you even sit down.

I've taken one. If they don't want you to get hired, the person asking the questions simply keeps asking you, until he gets the result he wants on paper ( print out ). Make sure your state you live in doesn't have a law against taking a polygraph for employment as a requirement. I think 2 states in the lower 48 have laws against, polygraph test for employment. If your lucky, you might live in one of these states.

I wouldn't think there would be trick questions, but I've never taken one. There is no way to prepare. Go in and answer each question as honest as you can. If you do that, you shouldn't have a problem.

Easy. Don't lie!!!!! Seriously just be relaxed when you go into it and you will be fine. The machine uses your pulse rate to determine if you are lying.

If you don't lie you will not need to prepare.

Good luck..
