I would probably go with Leatherface, since his character was inspired by the real murderer Ed Gein.
For those of you that don't know all about what Ed Gein had done, well check out the source. His murders were pretty brutal.
If i had anything to be scared of, it would be knowing that it is a human doing this, unlike Jason, Freddy, and others.
Michael myers...well he's just lame.
Leatherface with the dead skin masks, being a cannibal, and ruthlessly killing without any ounce of mercy. And another plus, not holding back when he kills, which makes him more fearsome.

The character i like to watch the most is michael myers but the one that scares me the most is samara. that little kid is freaky.

in real life i think a micheal myers would be scary and freddy dosent seem to nice.
