To answer the question directly, they woud be unhappy, some because of his party, and , yes, some because of his race. But we democrats shouldn't be too smug about it. Racism isn't confined to one party.

Like the need to compete, and the need to go to war, racism seems to be hardwired into the human species. You don't need to be republican to be a racist. And you don't have to be white to be a racist, either.

I get the distinct impression that nowadays the Presidency is an empty office and like a captaincy in the New York City Police Department at the turn of the century when Theodore Roosevelt was Top Cop. A captaincy could be had for twenty five thousand dollars. The President may have the say so but it appears he rides the whirlwind.

I'm have too much respect and dignity for myself to claim Democrat or Republican...I think they are all a bunch of scumbags.

However...I think Obama would bring honor and integrity back to the White House. This man can smoke all the cigarettes he wants. He would be a helll of a lot better than the NeoCons we have phucking everything up now. Thats a fact!

People complain that he has no millitary experience. Name someone who has led our country in the last 25 years that had real military experience. So what if he was a coke snorting, cigarette smoking, legislator. He is human and he seems to care more than GWB. Plus, GWB has a few DUI's under his belt. I'd rather have him than Hillary...she is also a NeoCon is disguise (do your research).

He couldn't possibly F*** things up more than Georgy Boy Bush

The same way we all should, worried. I am Democrat, but I am not looking for just any Democrat to be the next pres, (that goes for Obama and Hillary). Neither of them has anything in their past that should lead anyone to believe they are presidential material.
Enough Republican/Democrat nonsense, lets just elect someone who is actually capable of doing a good job without destroying the country, it would be a nice change.

I am an Independent but if I were a Republican I would never be so presumptuous as to think I could speak for all of them.

It will NEVER happen. Unless Hillary dies in office. Obama Bin Laden isn't running for president to actually become president. He's running to drum up more democratic support. Right around spring of 2008 he will accept Hillary Clinton's invitation to be his running mate and draw in the millions of supporters he has to her millions of supporters. If you don't believe me, just wait until March or April of 2008. And be sure to email so that I can tell you that I told you so.
