You will need a family law attorney. Consult your local bar association's lawyer referral service.

I wish I had saved the site. Talk to a lawyer asap....according to law, CPS cannot come in your house unless you LET them in. Even then they must either have a court order or have the police with them. If they can see any violations through the windows of your house or if theres a mark on your child that is one thing, but if not, you don't have to talk to them without talking to a lawyer. Also, they CANNOT legally go behind your back to your childrens school and talk to them without YOUR permission. They will say they can but check up online. I have read many places that they actually CAN'T do this.

Case in point, the school called on my parents once. When the social workers showed up my father met them outside the house and told them in no uncertain terms that he is a tax paying member of the community and he would thank them to step off the property. They never came back and neither would the school allow them to talk to me there.

If CPS has determined that the call had no merit, any lawyer with a civil practice could take the case. Keep in mind that you're not likely to get any money out of it unless 1) the person acted maliciously and 2) the person has money or property to pay a judgment.

Look for one who practices in family law as well as criminal law. Ask them if they have any experience in this sort of thing before you hire them. You should be able to find someone who can help you pretty easily.

Good Luck.

Stand up to them and tell them that you did nothing wrong. I did that one time and they left me alone. But if they continue, get the lawyer.
