Yes. Pick up an IDE to USB device ($20-$50) and you'll all set. I've done it several times and they make nice backup devices.

The storage enclosures come in all sorts of sizes and shapes. I've got a few for my older laptop drives and bought one for a brand new 360gb 3.5" drive.

Just go to Ebay and type in: USB HARD DRIVE ENCLOSURE HDD EXTERNAL CASE. You will get lots of choices. You have to know if your drive is SATA or IDE drive. The drive will come with instructions.

They make empty shells for external drives, but yours may not fit if it is an older drive.

yes buy a external USB hard drive case slip your old hard drive into it and hey presto you have an external hard drive
