Your nose is probably dry. If you get some Q-tips and put a little bit of Vaseline on them and rub them up in your nostrils, and all around before you go to bed this should give them some moisture. And it the daytime, try using a mild lotion, it wont be as thick and greasy as the vaseline for the day time. And drink lots of water.

They are supposed to clot.
It's probably caused by the dry air in your house. In winter home heating really dries out the air and often it is pretty dry outside too.
You can get a humidifier for your room or a saline nasal spray at the drugstore. It should help very quickly

I used to get nosebleeds for no reason in college and it was a concern because of family health history. Whenever I got one I could feel my blood pressure drop. My father's BP skyrocketed whenever he got them. I checked with the doc and was told that mine were caused by sudden weather/moisture changes. My advice is to drink lots of water, keep track of when you get them and what you're doing at the time, and go seek a doctor's advice.
