i bought the leasehold of 68 years to the flat i am now living in. The freehold belongs to a private landlord, can i buy the freehold to the flat? i ask because some of my fellow neighbours have bought the freehold... how do i go about it?

Ask the landlord to the rights of first refusal. That means that they have to offer you the option to buy before others. That what its called in the US. It sounds like your in Europe. There is probably somthing similar there. Good luck.
