I know that abortion is mureder no question about it. Why are so many people for it. Not only is it murder but it is the biggest, most irresponsible cop out ever. Okay so you are raped. I believe that there has to be a bigger picture if God allows you to be pregnant. There are some married couples that can't get pregnant no matter how muvh they want to and if somone is raped and ends up pregnant than there is a reason why God put that child there. Anyway--I want to hear your opinion and please no rude remarks. It gets old.

I agree with you completely. I don't understand why people want to play God... because that is what it is.
It is sad that people get raped... I am sure that it is an added horror to find out you are pregnant because of it. But why add on to the wrong of it by aborting the child who is just as innocent as the one who was raped?
There are fetuses that have things wrong with them and the mother wants to abort it... saying the baby would be better off. I disagree. The mother does it to better suit her lifestyle. She doesn't want to have to deal with a child with disability.
People who give the lame excuse that they can't afford it are just pathetic... so they can't afford a three dollar box of condoms either? But they can afford an abortion that costs several hundred dollars? That is just nonsense.
There are ones that say the mother will die if she has the baby. Well I for one would rather my child have the opportunity at life as I have already had the chance to live.
There is always an alternative to abortion. People just want an easy way out... then when they do have an abortion, they don't want to go around and tell people about it. Why? Because they are embarrassed about their stupid decision.

Well, here's my reasoning behind why it is (can be) right. Either, the raped person or even the person that made the mistake of having sex and conceiving may not be able to give the child a good life. So, either they can get an abortion, and while cruel at the time, is actually saving a child's life from what may be an unlivable or cruel and harsh one. If they have the baby, which may put their health at risk, mind you, if they are younger or even would have a high risk pregnancy and put themselves or the baby at risk, and gave the baby up for adoption, the baby would add to the many, many children waiting for adoption that may never get it. While yes, there are infertile couples, there are many more babies waiting for adoption (and children) than there are couples such as that. I can accept that many people believe that God is the creator of life, and death for that matter, and i do agree with this. I don't think that God would want us to suffer with a child that we can't take care of. We have to agree to disagree, but both ideas have strong points.

I think that by posting this question, though, you are calling anyone who disagrees with you dumb, which is wrong.

I agree for the most part. I agree it is murder to have an abortion and know someone who has done so and I can not look at them the same. I have watched how some have their child suctioned out of them out of them into pieces. A baby can feel. I however feel if you are raped that is why there is a morning after pill so that it doesnt have a chance to make contact and form into an embryo. If one was smart they would go str8 to the hospital after being raped....why wait and then suffer 2 tramatic events thats just stupid. There should be no reason to have an abortion and it should be illegal.

in my opinion abortion is wrong. UNLESS-- the child will have some awful birth defect that will later hurt the child. or if u were raped and got hiv and the baby could be at risk. abortion is not an option for your irresponsible actions. but i know that that means nothing to most women so heres my advice. if u spread ur legs and get pregnant, and are going to have an abortion, dont drag ur feet. do it asap. before its an actual baby/person. im 4 months pregnant. i couldnt imagine taking an already forming baby.

i totally agree with u. But there are some exceptions like if the baby is dead or if its ganna hurt the mother...and if u get raped i think that it is ok in most cases. however if u are just looking to get rid of the wonderful miracle growing inside of u i think it is wrong. when there are so many people out there who can;t have baby's. Abortion is murder.....and it makes me sad that some women do it for there own selfishness.

How can you make such statements without ever having been in that situation? "Judge not lest ye be judged" - God said that too.

Have you ever been raped? It is the most vile, horrible act to have to live through. I refuse to judge the woman that can't allow a piece of her attacker to live inside of her - and neither should you.

This life is filled with tough decisions - and for you to come across as self-righetous and un-empathetic when it comes to abortion is a cop out as well. I am sure you have had decisions or situations in your life that you did not handle correctly or could have handled better - but I'm not going to tell you that you're wrong because I have my own crap in my own life to deal with.

I guess my whole point is that you need to walk a mile in someone's shoes before you can tell them how you would handle a situation.

And pro-choice does not mean pro-abortion. It means that I am not qualified to judge situations in other people's lives.

Ok I'm smart! I only believe in abortion unless it is rape because it wasn't you fault. It takes 2 to make a baby. I'm catholic and I don't even believe in some of the things the church says.

But besides that I agree 100%! :)

Explain to me why God allowed that poor girl to get raped in the first place. If that is your idea of a loving God, why would he allow such a violent form of procreation? Having a child is supposed to be the aftermath of a loving act, not a violent crime. My view on abortion is irrelevant here. My view on your intelligence is this-- you are lacking.

Isn't your question rude??? You should expect rude answers then. You came right out and said that anyone with a differing opinion is stupid...

Obviously if you ask a question about abortion it will cause a hot debate.

I agree with you 100%..i think if a person decides they are going to have sex then they need to own up to their actions and be responsible...I also think marriage before babies would be a good philosiphy too.
