i think how it goes is most of them will except the agp pro ones .. those are a different voltage ... i think ...

the comp repair shop stole 4 of the 8 off my agp card and it still worked fine

go to you motherboard manufactures website support and ask them
It should work but at 4x speed, but it could be the voltage is different and you may need an extra voltage socket on the motherboard
