I think it could be a software problem within your phone. It probably needs a software upgrade. Go to www. Nokia.com support and select your phone nokia 6600 type in *#0000# it will give you the version of software installed in your phone. You need at least 256mb of memory on your pc to upgrade. Or take it to your local nokia repair centre and they will do it for you.

The battery might not be fully charged? Upgrading the firmware on it might fix the problem but it sounds like you are going to have it repaired or replaced.

Mine does that occasionally. It's a software problem. Take it to your nearest mobile phone repair centre to get it fixed. Be aware, though, that getting new software installed will wipe the memory, so make sure you have back-ups of your phone numbers & diary dates, if you have a diary in your phone.

Nokia phones are famous for doing this (especially later models) I dunno if its "urban myth" or truth, but apparantly they are only designed to last 10-12 months, thus forcing you into an upgrade!
