Since you love it you should major in it. Then you could get a job doing something you like to do unlike some people who do something the hate and get bored with everyday just for the money. If you love filmmaking you would be deddicated to your work because you wouldn't get bored with it then you could do some wonderful stuff and make a ton of money for doing something you like to do! :)

An unfortunate few people enjoy what they do for a living. In my opinion, it's better to do something you love and live in a cardboard box rather than get paid well for something that doesn't inspire you.

Always have a backup plan. Do your flimmaking AND have a practical career. You can have your cake and eat it too. Hope this helps.
