I often accidentally bite the inside of my mouth while eating.
Stupid, I know.
But anyway, I have 2 deep gashes in the bottom of my mouth, between my gums and my cheeks.
It hurts to eat, and I was wondering if there was something I could do about them.
Is that oragel stuff for this kind of situation, because I thought they were only for kids with braces. :/

Your dentist can probably file the sharp edges smooth. (Just the portion likely to scrape you mouth.)

Yes the orajel may work, but I'd be inclined to see a Dr. since that
since that is a very tender spot to have 2 gashes, are you sure u
don't need stitches?
I'm not going to tell you to stay away from salty things like a can of soup, as the salt will disinfect the wounds as hurtful as it maybe. But do cleanse r mouth with a mouth wash alot and especially before bed. Guaze with antiseptic may help in the day
as well, just to keep it sanitary

No it's not stupid... You may have an occlusion problem (occlusion means how your teeth come together). You should see a dentist to make sure this is not what's going on.

As for the bites, orajel will help with the pain - but the fastest way to heal mouth wounds is:

1 - gently rinsing with warm salt water (mix salt & water until it's about the salinity of sea water).
2 - rinsing wth Peroxyl (a mouth rinse containing hydrogen peroxide).

I suggest you start rinsing with salt water after your meals. That will wash away any food particles and will help you heal faster.

You can also take a pain reliever like tylenol for pain.

I hope you feel better!

Its important to concentrate while you eat while you have the sores. To avoid aggravating the sore. Also oragel does numb the spot. Also a piece of cotton soak in honey, oragel. Also a Q-tip soaked in one of these they even sell a numbing Q-tip but keep it handy because the saliva washes away the numbing and the numbing does not last long. Luckily any injury to the mouth heals 10x faster than any other part of your body.
