Why, just to keep up with the Joneses I suppose, there is hardly anything on television decent enough to justify spending loads of dosh on a tv, a standard tv does the job just the same, its a con, and most of these LCD HD tv's will go down in price later on so I will wait untill then, i'm not in a hurry, most of what is on TV is rubbish, repeats and reality trash, why bother when you can spend the money on something more useful or important, many people who show off an expensive tv can't really afford it and are paying it off on the never ever (Instalments, and yet they have trouble paying their essential bills such as electric etc) its lunacy, I've got no time for it!

People are strange - that's basically the answer. But what I have noticed is that different people have different opinions on what is "a lot" on every item that there could be. For example my mother would happlily spend several thousand pounds on gravel but scream "HOW MUCH" at a primark jumper! Go figure.

Because, you go out and pay £3500 on the latest flatscreen TV only to be told 2 weeks later that its out of fashion and the latest gizmo wont fit or something.
