How do I unlock the volume on my ipod?

My husband gave me a brand new ipod 30gb. I was the fist person to check it out. I realized the volume thing was already locked which I do not know the code. It was weird that it came locked already. How do I unlock it?

You have to hook it up to your computer. Then when you look at your playlists, on the top click the settings tab and slide the slider to where you want your volume to be.

if u want to increase the max volume go to settings and then volume limit and thats it.
