There are nutritional things a person can do to help strengthen his/her immune system. Vitamins A, C, and E area collectively known as the anticancer vitamins. The immune system needs these plus minerals like zinc (Zn) and selenium (Se) to do its job. Dark green leafy vegetables, especially cabbage relatives like broccili and kale and orange vegetables like carrots are high in ACE. In research where AIDS patients were given much larger than “normal” amounts of these nutrients, especially vitamin C, it was found that the people taking the “extra” nutrients had more and healthier helper T-cells. These nutrients also are valuable in fighting colds, flu, etc. Many knowledgable nutritionists feel that the RDA for vitamin C (currently 100 mg for non-smokers) is way too low, and often recommend anywhere from one to three grams a day.

It would be good to learn the cause and to speak with your physician about changes that might help - even if you don't want to take pills - s/he may have some good ideas or resources for you.
The reason it's good to know the cause is because it may affect how you treat it. You may want to see if you can get checked for Celiac Disease which weakens the immune system but is treated simply by not eating gluten (found in wheat, barley and some other grains).
They typical suggestions for strengthening the immune system are not all that glamorous. I've heard: eat a healthy diet - cut out white flour and sugar, avoid alcohol and smoking, get plenty of sleep, cut down on stress, make sure things are working in your life and do more of what you love, get exercise.
I know you said you hate pills and drinks, but if you can find someone who can provide you with a flower essence mix you could perhaps use that in spray form externally.
You may be able to find such a person at a natural food store. If they don't have a specific person who does flower essence work, you can see if Bach remedies has a remedy for strength.
Good luck!

The only orange juice that is of any medical benefit would be fresh squeezed by you.All the rest are pasteurized(heat treated) and basically worthless for medicinal purposes. The reality is you will need to take some natural nutrition supplements or continue the way you are.One that may help is called Total Immune Booster, you can find it at www.cell911.info Don't waste your money on synthetic vitamins since your body can't use them.If any vitamin taken is not recognized as food by your body then it will not be absorbed. Can't fool mother nature.

Buy Alacer's Vitamin C, and take megadoses of Vitamin C...like 6-8 packets a day, or more. Skip the Orange Juice...it's not that good for you and has too much sugar.
Megadoses of Vitamin C become Vitamin A in the body...which will both harness your immune system.
Stop taking drugs. Get proper rest. Spend more time in the sun.

Vitamins - there is a heart specialist in Ca that recommends prenatal vitamins for all his patients (male and female) because they contain the building blocks we need.
Many low immune systems have been compromised by an overgrowth of yeast in the intestines. Products that would kill off the bad yeast (start slowly and build up to avoid bloating and cramps) replacing them with pro-biotics (refrigerated are best). - The yeast eats sugars/starches (makes us crave them) and in return their contribution to our system is in the form of toxins.
Drink at LEAST 1/2 gallon of water per day to flush the bad stuff out. Low on funds at least try for a filter, the reverse osmosis process for water purification is pricey.
Muscles, pain and referred pain - read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies.
