Provided you put a First Class stamp on your letter and ensure you shove it in the box BEFORE the collection time on Saturday
or else before collection time on Sunday IF THERE IS A SUNDAY COLLECTION FROM BOX YOU POST IT IN, it almost certainly will get there sooner than if you post on Monday. Royal Mail sorters and drivers do work on Sunday nights and postmen early on Monday morning.

If you post a letter after midday, it won't be collected til Monday, so if you post it on Saturday before midday, it will probably get there on Tuesday, or Wednesday at the very latest (first class).

Some post boxes have Sunday collection in which case your mail would be delivered on Monday if you posted it on Saturday (all being well)

Very much doubt it. I prefer to put in the first post Monday morning. Should get to destination next day if correctly addressed.
