The last time I cut off a little finger - 1 st joint right hand- I did bring the stub into the ER .
The plastic surgeon that did the repair threw it out because he felt that even if the blood supply could be re-established it would be highly unlikely that re connecting the nerves would work.
That finger took over 8 months and two operations to heal completely.
So if you did in fact cut off your finger by now you should be unable to stand and throwing up from the extreme pain.

First of all, your spelling is atroshus. You dont need it - just put it in your mouth and swallow it, then start again by shaving your big toe with a potato peeler to a fine point - pull the nail off first with a pair of your dads favourite rusty pliers - catch the blood to drink later or dip your severed finger in if you hav'nt already swallowed it. Try shoving needles down your 9 figernails - thats quite a good one to follow up with. Remember - no pain no gain.

If you are actually serious then do not put it in ice...ice damages the exposed nerves and will prevent successful reattachment.

Put it in a clean plastic bag...apply pressure to your bleeding finger stump and get to hospital pronto.

ps...make your own way as an ambulance should not be involved in your stupidity.

I would continue the research first by cutting off some more fingers and then a few toes and maybe one ear. Just to compare levels of pain. Do let us know how you get on...

Woah! Thats a little emo. But i just recently cut my finger too (6 stitches) I'd go to the ER anf have them put it back. Put it on ice also, and get someone to carry it for you while you apply pressure to your stubby part thats left.

put the finger in a bag then put that bag in a bag of ice ring an ambulance and get to hospital also hold your hand up above your hart and put a clean flannel on it and hold tight if this is done you might get your finger back.

Only if you don't need your finger to complete your experiment? Put your stump and detached finger in ice, if you have any fingers left on your other hand, dial for an ambulance.

Give it another 10 mins, or 9 in your case.
