Eat green leafy veggie & red meat. In order for you to be able to carry a baby to term, you need enough iron. Prenatal vitamins have some in them. During pregnancy, your blood supply increases by about 50%, so if you're anemic, you're more likely to have problems with being circulation and dizziness. Talk to your doctor and see what, in specific, he/she recommends to increase your iron. Good luck!

I know that iron is very important during pregnancy. So i assume that when you are trying to conceive you need to bring those levels up. The best thing to do is make an appointment with your doctor, who will then put you on a right diet plan.

Theres also vitamins that you can take especially for those with iron deficiencies.

When I was going through my teenage stuff, I had to take a liquid called 'tonic' and that has all the iron you can have, and is really good. Tastes like orange too!!

Good luck x

All this time I was anemic. My doctor prescribed a multivitamin with iron to concieve and I was only there to get medicine for a respiratory infection I had. He asked me If I wanted another child and he told me I had low iron and told me to take the vitamins and see what comes of it. It was a relief for me because me and my Hubby had been trying for almost a year to concieve so yes get to the doctor and listen to what they have to tell you. Good Luck!!

I'm anemic and I haven't had any problems but everyone is different. You can get a low dose iron pill over the counter. I'd check with your doctor.
