What is your favorite album and why?
I ask because my favorite is not one that most like. Mine is "The Final Cut" because it speaks of the stupidity of war, the uselessness, the waste. Also it mocks the warmongers and tyrants.

I do not have a copy of Meddle. That is one of the few I am missing on CD.
Oh, I had a traumatizing experience with "Time". I had my headphones on, vinyl "Dark Side" on the turntable, eyes closed, truly into the "Floyd groove". Any Floyd fan knows that one. A "friend" timed it just right and cranked the volume right as the alarms sounded.
After I peeled myself from the ceiling and my heart restarted, I had a bit of a row with him.

Dark side of the Moon is just incredible, But Wish you were Here is pretty epic as well. But then The Wall has all that good stuff like "goodbye blue sky".
I'd have to say Dark Side of the Moon, Wish you Were Here, and The Wall, in that order.

All of their albums are great, including The Final Cut...Two Suns In The Sunset is one of my favorite songs, and it's talking about exactly what you said. I don't know if I could choose a favorite though...it just depends on my mood. Right now I'm listening to Meddle.

I like Meddle and Atom Heart Mother. Meddle's a very nice, mellow album, and Atom Heart Mother is... well, weird.
Oh, and when you do get Meddle, be sure your "friend" gets nowhere near the volume control when Echoes gets around the eleventh minute. One of my dad's "friends" did this to him when he was just about to fall asleep, and the screeching... er... whatevers made him fall out of the top of his bunk bed. (He was a kid then!)

My favorite is Animals. I like the way the songs seamlessly flow in and out with energetic parts and then calmer, more relaxing parts.
I also really like Wish You Were Here because of all of the psychedelic influences especially in "Have a Cigar".

Mine is The Wall or Animals. I don't really like any of the ones that came out after Roger Waters left.
By the way, thanks for the help with my question about the Jennifer Lopez video. I gave you the best answer since you were the first one to answer it correctly. You sure seem to know alot about gypsies.

difficult question hahahaha, they are all amazing albums.... I would say ANIMALS (yes I know nobody thinks so), I love every second and lucky me I sat down in front of battersey power station and listen to it!!! awesome experience... them wish you were here has great tracks... for me dark side of the moon has high and low points, and them I love the barrett era. Momentary Lapse and Division Bell are lovely, really nice albums.
