Federalist- One who supported The ratification of the Constitution in the 19th century. A member of a former political party in the United States that favored a strong centralized federal government. Someone for the Constitution.

Anti Federalist- one who opposed the ratification of the Constitution. They flavored the British form of government instead of the US. Someone who was against the Constitution.

It is better to be a federalist because of the basic rights of the people of the US at the time and today. You want a government with checks and balances and looking out for the people.
