the worst feeling is when you feel EMPTY, just NOTHING in there
so if you take chances at least you feel something

It really depends on who is feeling the pain and the intensity.
Me??? I'm into poetry, lyrics, deep thinking, and anything that takes you to the 'deep end of the pool', and I think that pain is beneficial for sure! Those who are raised overly protected and never really get the true meaning of pain are at a distinct disadvantage. Physical pain I would like to avoid completely.... emotional pain, I'm actually comfortable with. I've sorted myself out through a lot of time in the deep end of the pool and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Pain is better. I saw this documentary about this boy who has a rare disorder where he can't feel anything. When he was teething, he chewed through his lip. He walked around with a broken leg and didn't realize it. No pain would also mean no 'pleasure', would it not?

Yes, pain can be better then no feeling at all but only if it is temporary, and not to sever.

pain is better, believe me, i've felt numbe before, it lasted a week, it was terrible. I love pain, it helps me with my problems and clears my mind. Pain is much better.

I think that people who can't feel anything are generally happier, but feeling deeply shows emotional intelligence. The same way that ignorance is bliss and that stupid people are happier.

nope...that's why they give you a shot so you feel nothing instead of pain at the doc or dentist
