LOL...apparently no one here has ever lived in SOUTH or West Phoenix. You'll see nothing but pit bulls and rotweilers there, most running around unleashed doing as they please. Not all apartments say no to pit bulls but most do have breed restrictions, the ones that don't are likely to be lower quality. If you are renting a home, I don't know why they would care what type of dog you have as long as they allow tenants with animals are the yard is appropriately fenced. If I were the landlord though, I would require any tenant moving in with any breed of dog to have renter's insurance that would cover any issues since I can't be sure that person is a responsible dog owner. I would also want to meet the dog and would base my judgement on what I thought of the dog and you. We have had a couple of dogs that were half pit who were the most laid back dogs, so it does have a lot to do with the owner. That said, you better believe if I see someone coming down the street with a pit bull, leashed or not, I'm moving across to the other side of the street.

I guess people are just intimidated after seeing all the attacks by Pit Bulls on people, you know? I'm not afraid of them; their beautiful animals and i hate how owners will take advantage of their original fighting purposes and use it for money. It's just sick. I wish more people would learn to love and enjoy owning the Pit Bull breed instead of fearing or using them.

None of the cities in Arizona are "against" Pit Bulls. There are leash laws however, so whatever dog you have should be on a leash and not vicious.

There are no specific prohibitions against Bull Terriers as such, how if I owned one I would make sure that I carried plenty of personal liability insurance.

Nope, but don't expect to rent an apartment. I work in that field, they're not allowed anywhere.
