WACO, Texas -- The father of San Diego Chargers running back LaDainian Tomlinson was killed Friday in an auto accident, authorities said.
Oliver Tomlinson, 71, of Chilton was killed in the 1:30 p.m. one-vehicle rollover, said Charlie Morgan, a Texas Department of Public Safety spokesman.
The pickup's driver, Ronald C. McClain, 48, was taken by ambulance to Waco's Hillcrest Baptist Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition, Morgan said. McClain is believed to be related to Tomlinson, Morgan said.

well his dad died, which i couldnt believe it. anytime an athlete or an athletes family member dies its just sad beacuse you think of them as immortals in a way, you never think of a famous and great athlete dying or their family members.

DAAAAMN L.T.'s pops was old as hell! 71? That means he didn't have L.T. till he was like 44 years old!!! But still this is a said story hopefully L.T. can recover and it won't affect his fantasy number for my team next season.
