If genetics are going to affect how you feel about this kid, DO NOT WAIT to get a paternity test. Don't let that kid get attached to you if you're going to be taking off.

Yes he probably is your son!I gave birth to a blonde blue eyed baby 37yrs ago,and he's still blonde, but his eyes have changed to hazel. His dad is jamaican and i am white english. You don't say what your mixed races are,but even mixed race people can make a black baby with a white woman,if affro caribean or african blood is in your family,or blood line. Its all in the genes,if you are mixed race west indian, the odds are on, at having all kinds of babies as the inter breeding by the british and spanish are apparent when the slaves were brought from africa and other countries. Please have a DNA test as i would hate to think this would interfere with your love for your son.

Children get darker as they get older. My son is half Moroccan and there was no indication that he was half Moroccan as a baby. When he was born he had dark blue eyes and fair skin, as a small child he had beautiful blond curly hair, everyone remarked on how beautiful he looked. Now he is 12 years old, he has dark brown hair, olive skin and brown eyes.
Jade Goodies is a quarter black, the only tell sign that she has black ancestry is perhaps her month, but I see little else in her that makes me feel that she has black in her. Dark colours tend to be dominant over light colours, but if you are a quarter black the white will most probably be more dominant.

Is his mother white? Does she have immediate ancestors who have blue eyes/blonode hair? And do you have any immediate white ancestors i.e. a white father or mother who have blue eyes/bloonde hair? Do you have blue eyes? If any of these are true, then one of you may have carried the gene for blonde hair and blue eyes from one of your parents, and then passed it on to the baby. It is wierd the way genes work, but it is possible. I still would recommend getting a paternity test just to be sure, so you arent fooleld into fathering a child who isnt your, especially against your wishes.

i have 4 children, 1 brown hair, 2 blond, 1 ginger. all have blue eyes. i have (or should i say used to have) brown hair and green eyes, their father is ginger with blue eyes. he was the only ginger one from a family of 8. his mum used to say he was a throw back from a past generation.
my grandaughter has blonde hair and dark brown eyes. she is mixed race(Turkish/English). she was really dark when she was born and now she is white. she started to change colour at around 3 months.
hope this and some other answers put your mind to rest. enjoy your son while he is still a baby, they grow up too fast

I think that it is very possible that this can be the case. Her eyes can be really blue, and her blonde hair natural. So, yes it's possible, but since I don't see a photograph of her I can only guess from what I know.

Totally possible. Don't you remember the story of the parents (both of mixed race) who had twin daughters? One was white and fair with blue eyes, and the other dark-skinned and dark-eyed. The odds of this happening are a million to one!

Your son is truly one in a million, so enjoy him.

That's genetics for you ... creation never ceases to amaze.

When I was a baby I had blonde hair and blue eyes. When I got older my hair turned brown and so did my eyes.

It doesn't sound ''sus'' to me and genetically, yes, it is possible.

My family is of Indian descent. My nieces have the same parents (my sister, who is dark skinned, and my brother in law, who is paler than any anaemic I've ever seen). My two elder nieces are very pale whereas the youngest has a very deep brown skintone.

Same with my cousins. My uncle married a Russian woman. They had 4 kids, the eldest one is blonde and blue eyed, the middle two are like my youngest niece, and the youngest has red hair and dark skin.

Edit: whoever thumbed this down - are you saying I'm lying? I am stating FACTS.

just the way all the genes were processed. my grandmother had olive skin, black hair, and green eyes- only two of eight kids looked even a bit similair to her. her great granddaughter has medium skin, brown hair (everyone else is blond), and the same mole/birthmark she had- and it took three generations for her features to start showing up

Your son takes on the characteristics of someone in the family.
Maybe a grandparent or even a great-grandparent had light skin and blue eyes. These traits can skip a generation. They just have to be in your genes.
