A Star Wars tv show is coming out in 2008 and Im hoping its not going to be cheesy like most sci-fi tv shows are, but then again its lucus film and they don't slack on their effects. what do you think?

With the First season being run by George Lucas, it will probably be ok. I am worried that the Second season and beyond will be crap. God I hope it is good. I do like the fact that we are not going to see many Main Characters from the movies. That we will see some different Main Characters and how it will play out in the overall Continuity of the Movies.

shows are never as good as the movies of books i mean just how many stories can you make up in year - thats why even the best of new tv show with no high expectation die out after a year or two or at least arent as great - the first star wars movies to come out were great the last three(first thrree in series) werent as good as first three and its gunna be hard to impress a star wars fan

I think that a movie becoming a TV series would take the fun out of the film itself. Look at the 1994 movie "The Client." They turned it into a series, and it failed.

I don't think it is a good idea, it has potential but I don't think it is going to work. As long as it does not contradict any of the cannonized star wars novels I woill be happy however

Based on the prequels, I can say my expectations are pretty low. There's too much hype with Star Wars and it can't live up to it.

I think it has potential just as long as it isn't one of those shows where its all sorted in an hour and they all do a group laugh and someones embarrassed

"Lucas doesn't slack", you say ? I beg to differ. Please take a look at the link below....it's the first Star Wars TV show...from 1978.
