I am 13w1d pregnant with my first child. I have recently been feeling bubble like movement in my lower left abdomen. I told myself that it is too early and that it must be gas, but I was wondering if this really could be the baby moving. I can put my hand on my stomch and can feel the movement, but since I am a first time mom and really excited, I'm not sure. I am a pretty slender woman, 5"10" 142 now, about 135 prepregnancy. The last ultrasoud we went to, the baby was jumping all over the place! Just don't know!!!

Could be. For me it felt like a butterfly and he is very active now, just like he was inside the womb.

I too felt the baby at about that time. Felt like a little butterfly. And I was very thin too. I was sitting on a truck with my legs up, and couldn't believe that that was what I was feeling, but only a few weeks later it got stronger. He ended up being a big healthy boy who was active the whole pregnancy. Liked to get up under the ribs and kick or stretch.

That is probably not your baby. You are too early to be able to feel it internally, let alone externally. It is probably just gas. You can't feel it from the outside until about 23 weeks.
