My supposedly "best friend" has been going behind my back spreaing rumors about me at school. when i consult her about it, she denies it and acts like it never even happened. most of what she says is about my boyfriend. (ex: like he's gonna break up with me for her) she likes him a lot (only because i'm dating him) and she likes to think he likes her back. but he doesnt and she doesnt understand that and wont. i've told her that she's hurting me by saying all this crap that is 100% not true, and she apologizes and treats me like it never even happened. then turns around and does it again. i've known her for a while and ever since i started dating this guy, which has been about a year, she has liked him. i saw a change in her this year and last month was when she started going behind my back and saying all this crap about me. i've tried to befriend her, but she just keeps coming back. what do i need to do?!? why is she doing this to me?

This sounds like an unhealthy friendship. Ask yourself, when I have dealings with this friend, how often do I feel happy, versus how often do I feel angry/hurt/sad? If things are bad more than they are good, it might be a sign that you should move on and find different friends. It sounds like she doesn't really have your best interests at heart. Real friends support each other and care about each other -- they don't try to break each other down.
She might be acting strange because she is afraid of losing your friendship since you're dating this boy. Be honest with her, but don't let her treat you badly. Good luck.

That's what my supposedly best friend said I did about her only saying that I started a rumor saying she was preganant!

But, I just ignored them and they went away!
Just know in your heart that they aren't true and that's that. If she wants to do that. Let her. Sooner or later she'll get caught and have a reputation for a nasty-rumor-spreader. YUP! And she will be all alone without friends cuz of it.

friends come and go. and the ones that haven't left you are the ones that haven't backstabbed you yet.
thats messed up what shes doing to you. shows you that shes not a true friend. just make new friends and turn you back on her. As for this boy. you know relationships don't last long. so just make the best of it. and prove your "best friend" wrong.
just make new friends. and be careful. because you can't trust any one now in days

she is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy jelios of u. she is just hanging out with u so she could steal ur boyfriend and try to make u jelous. dont break up with ur boyfriend cuz of her. she is such a turd ibet. if my friend evr did that to me i would like not be friends with her. if i were u just tell her that if u dont stop telling rumors about u then im not ur friend and if she says ok and does it again then dont be friends with her. trust me. just tell her u dont want to be friends with her. f she keeps on bugging u then ignore her. if she still tokes behinde ur back tell her that how u would feel if u toked behinde ur back. if that doesnt work then just forget about her. make new friends. i now that she is doing this because she is jelous of u. i hope this would work!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
