Sam Cooke. And I believe that Marvin would have voted that way too, since the "e" on the end of his last name was added as a tribute to the Great Sam Cooke, (Marvin Gaye's name used to be spelled Marvin Gay.)

This is by no means meant as a show of dis-respect for Marvin Gaye, he was extremely talented, with an incredible voice, that thrilled his audiences, until his untimely death.

Now that is a ''humdinger''of a question and a difficult for me to answer but I am going to say Marvin Gaye and keep on thinking about the great songs Sam Cooke sang..good taste in music goes a long way.....lol
