Don't even go there. They would turn this goofball into a magnificent hero.

We got a year and a half to go before this guy leaves. No sense in making him a martyr.

We may also need someone to be arrested and tried for war crimes. The international courts don't arrest dead people. He's the best candidate for that job.

The only way that Bush could even salvage his Presidency's legacy is to get his brain filled butt shot off. Hell he might even try shooting himself. People are so stupid that they would turn him into a hero.

Who you going to get to volunteer? Only Republicans like guns. Only Cheney has the proven markmanship skills. Besides look at how El Qaida looks at Bush. He is such an idiot that keeping him there helps you win the war. They aint going to shoot him. He's their best volunteer.

I love it when people act like it's George Bush that the terrorists are afraid of. As if Bush were assassinated, terrorists around the world would breathe a collective sigh of relief. Fools...However, the media would have a FIELD DAY. At first he would be memorialized and honored, then after a reasonable amound of time has passed, his character and presidency would be dissected to the bones. However, I think everyone would be slightly shocked and even a little (I'm a giant liberal, and I can honestly say I would be a little saddened because he is our president then I would cry because Dick Cheney would be president...)

I understand what you attempt to assert, Robert. in spite of the undeniable fact that, you're able to have re-phrased in a diverse way... like, 'If President Bush replaced into assassinated, would the yankee ethical compass be restored in the eyes of the international?' Or something to that line of theory. My reaction to that could be certain, after a spell of time has handed.

I myself would feel saddened, and fearful. I know these feelings because I was alive when Kennedy was shot. I was in the 11th grade and remember most of the days happenings. It is something that is not easily forgotten. I am no Bush supporter but an assassination of any president is a breakdown in society and is never a good feeling. Besides then we would be stuck with Dead Eye Dick Cheney. uggg.

As for the intitial response people would be psyched (29% approval rating last I heard). But then the cold chilling realization that Cheney is now the president. After that I think there would be a mass exodus and fear would grip the country.

The Liberals would cheer, then a sick feeling would come over them and they would realize that Mr. Cheney doesn't take any crap and fires back. He would be their worst nightmare. Terrorists around the world would find it hard to sleep at night.

The harsh and terrifying reality of "President Dick Cheney" would set in really fast.

1) They would throw a party for the patriot, whoever he might be.

2) Cheney would have a heart attack and keel over.

3) Pelosi would become president by default.

Say....! B-)

I personally would hate it. I love president Bush and am afraid that once he gets out of office, the United States will literally be retaliated against since all of the terrorists are afraid to come out of hiding now. The media and most would love it, though.

The American public would probably rattle their sabres and vow revenge.
The rest of the world would probably shrug.
Give it a week and it will be off the news.
