I live in Ohio. For 5 straight weeks, the temperature never was above 20 degrees. Seems to me that that is proof positive that global warming is a silly myth made up by liberal tree huggers.

A few people have asked what the goal of the "Global Warming Conspiracy" could be other than a cleaner world. If you really want to educate yourself go read the Kyoto Treaty. It had nothing to do with controlling or changing global warming and nothing to do with a "cleaner" earth. It was designed to ruin the economies of the industrialized nations in Europe and North America. The nations creating the most pollution, China and India, were not required to meet the standards set in the treaty! This was a very obvious attempt by the U.N. to economically weaken the U.S., Japan, and Europe. It had nothing to do with the "problem" of Global Warming. The funny thing is that most liberals who quickly denounce the USA (and that evil George Bush) for not signing the Kyoto Treaty have no idea what the treaty actually says. Unfortunately, most of them don't even care that they are being used by people with an entirely different agenda than "cleaning up the earth". But please, don't let the facts get in the way of your political agenda; Al Gore never does.

Here in Virginia the underground water line to my greenhouse froze for the first time ever and stayed frozen for two weeks.
But liberals will say what happens to me and my neighbors means nothing on a global scale, and they will theoretically be right according to their own theories, so we must use a larger example to defeat their fallacies.
Greenland was named Greenland because when the Scandinavians discovered it, the earth was warm enough so there were many kinds of plants growing there, and they moved some of their people there to farm and send food back to Scandinavia. Since then, the earth has cooled down so much that Greenland is white and is covered in ice. When the earth warms up enough for Greenland to be green again we will be back to where we were centuries before the first American factory put out the first molecule of CO2.
We need more global warming before we all freeze like the people at the first Earth Day in the 1970s said we were going to do when they said we are heading for a new ice age, and back then they said the ice age was coming for the same reasons they are now saying we are all going to burn.

While there is no proof of man made Global Warming at this point the argument that its cold here so how can there be any Global Warming is just as ignorant as the people that quote Al Gore for their proof of that its happening. You are just as bad as they are. Go out and inform yourself if you truly want to be on the side that supports reason and facts instead of fear mongering.

And as proof that people are uninformed...

CRK - The earth has warmed a few degrees? Since when, The Ice Age. Over the last 100 years the average mean temperature on the planet has warmed over the last 100 years by about 1 degree F. It is expected to rise as much as 1 degree in the next 50 years.

timhda - While there is evidence of glacial meting and shrinking of the polar ice caps recent studies have shown that other ice sheets are increasing in size including part of the Antartic Ice sheet and glaciers in Greenland.

Why do you believe that's genuine? maximum genuine scientists with rather expertise interior the sphere do no longer believe guy has any significant result on international warming despite if that's even happening. regardless of what the "information" and the people getting wealthy off the assumption help you be attentive to,there's no consensus. that's the liberal version of religion. concept without evidence. Do a seek of the scientists who help international warming. you will discover that an infinite majority are actually not climatologist and an excellent sort of comprise political scientist. you will additionally detect an incredible many like Al Gore who've replace into relatively wealthy off of it. could you believe it if a company became into attempting to sell it to you? do no longer believe without evidence and don't be petrified of discovering something new.

Anyone of these annoying global warming bandwaggon beeps hear of the ice age (and I ain't talking about the film, even though it was very good especially that little critter with the acorn)...where was I? Oh yeah, the ice age?? HELLOOOOO people, how many moons ago was that, hasn't the earths atmosphere been warming up by miniscule amounts ever since and that's why we have no ice age anymore - no cars around in those days when it all began to melt so pah-leeeze get a grip, get off your green soap-box and accept that nature is doing it's thing and their ain't nothing we can do to stop it - unless any liberals out there think they are so god-like that they can re-arrange the planets and tip the earths axis, maybe move the sun an inch or two away from earth? No, didn't think so. Long live nuclear power and the the motor car - both make my life so much easier ;-)

I think scientific debate and thought is a great thing. Even global warming. I don't think we are experiencing man made global warming. But I get so sick of people blindly taking global warming as truth. People claiming anyone that disagrees with global warming is in the pocket of the oil company.

PS: I also live in Ohio and would be happy for a little global warming right now.

I agree with you totally. The libs are always quiet when the truth comes to bear. Unfortunately, they will be back in the summer spouting their vileness.

My question to them is why have over 17,000 scientist across the country signed a petition denouncing man-made global-warming as a myth? Why do virtually ALL meteorologists who DON"T GET FEDREAL GRANTS to prove man-made global-warming denounce it?

The fact is that liberals treat global-warming the same way they treat Christianity. That is they will continue to create bigger lies to cover-up the initial lies. They will find people who can be bought to be their "professionals" and create unduplicated data (bad science) to prove their bad science. They cannot understand that the earth and the sun go through changes which no one can control but, since they need government to control everything, they push the cause on man because then they can get government to control it.

Scientifically, you are off base. A direct result of global warming is major climate changes. The glaciers still are losing major amounts of ice caps. This changes the WHOLE climate, and the scientists don't know EXACTLY what is going to happen because there is no KNOWN records of ice ages...all they have is ice digs which show evidence of such that they are going by. They don't know exactly what impact man has on the pollution that is being put out. The whole fact that it has been cold for an extended amount of time actually SUPPORTS global warming.

I'm certainly not convinced either way. The Earth has been in constant change since long before we were here. But it can't be good when people in industrial regions of China have to wear face masks just to go outside. Pollution has it's own repercussions.
