It all depends on what you mean when you say connect. If you mean connect as in talk to, you can easily connect to God through prayer. If you mean connect as in understand, you can do that through reading the bible. From my own personal experience, the best thing way is to get away from other people. Get alone in a quiet place. Don't do all the talking. Read your bible, pray, then wait for an answer. You may not hear an audible answer. You may have to wait a while. Be specific in what you are asking for or about and He will be specific with you. Give him time but do not lose touch while waiting for an answer. Don't feel as if he you are bothering him, be persistent, but patient. Talk with others people who are trying to connect with God or those who appear to be connected with God and ask them about their personal experiences. Hope this helps. Good luck and God bless.

Just pray and when you do, give thanks for all the things that you have been blessed with, Like health and family and a roof over your head, obviously, you have more than that, so give thanks for those things as well. I think you should read the bible and go to church, talk to a priest or pastor.
