I agree with you, I am against abortion too. I think the only exception for an abortion is if the pregnancy is putting the mother's life in danger. Hopefully someday they will out-law such a cruel thing. I have met some women that have had abortions before and they said they did it because they can't afford a child, and im just like, "oh but you can afford to get an abortion done! Or they said they did it just because they don't like who the father of the child is. Which is extremely stupid because a baby should not have to die due to hatred. I just said to them how would you like it if your mother killed you because she did not like your father! I really made them feel guilty and I'm glad I did because they deserved it.

Why Do People Get Abortions

I think it's selfish, I would never do so. You make the choice to have sex, which means you took the chance to handle what comes along with it. Even though some have abortions because of money problems, and such, I'm sorry but that's a baby in there, a miracle. My friend recently got an abortion, I think it's terrible, but I just met her around the time she got it, so I couldn't change her mind, it was her business, and I even told her I don't believe in it, but goodluck to her future. I would never put myself NOR my own blood and little miracle to something so terrible. My mother had many miscarriages, which in turn left me as the only child, and it was heart breaking. It's sad how many couples want a little one and there's some avoiding what's already been created. I do not like being prejudice, but when it comes to this no matter what the circumstance, give it up for adoption I say. That's my view! If one is in danger it's kinda a stuck position though. But I'd never get one, and if you don't believe in it then don't do it!

Dear Lenora :Although you have a right to your oppinion, there are certain instances where an abortion is the only answer.Speaking for myself, its not an option I would ever dream of taking, but I believe that if after exploring all other options and none are found to be satisfactory, then a woman should most definitely have the option of abortion. To you it may be an unspeakable cruelty, but you must also think of someone raising a child who is not mature enough, not financially able to support a child, or the possibility of going to full term and delivering could be hazardous to the Mother's health and well-being. Most often when an unwanted pregnancy occurs and someone from the medical field steps in , all manner of avenues are discussed before abortion as a last resort is suggested. Please don't be so harsh to judge when I'm almost certain you're not informed as to all the circumstances surrounding such a decision. Yes, there are those who would abuse such a right, but on the other hand it is society's obligation to see that that right is possible should the need arise.

I really dont car how many thumbs down I get for this. Because this is one topic that I have became adament about since becoming pregnant.
I agree with you. I think it is a heinous thing to do. I do not understand why someone who knowingly knew the risks of having unprotected sex would use it as some form of demented birth control.
I think that people who do have abortions have no human decency.
I was on here the other day and some girl wanted an abortion because she slept with multiple people and didn't know who fathered the child and didn't want the embarrassment of having to tell them she didn't know. She thought it would just be better to have an abortion. It made me sick to my stomach.
I mean this is a LIFE. and an innocent one at that.
People say that others have a choice in the matter and that is true. They are also entitled to their opinions but so am I.

They do so for all sorts of reasons. I am not a person who condones it, but if you think about it for a moment, with the way children are abused today, would you really want someone to bring a child into the world if they really didn't want it? Sadly, I would rather a person abort a fetus than starve, beat, or torture a child to death. Then there are the women who have no choice but to abort, due to a disability or possible death to the mother or child or both. There are also babies aborted due to being raped. Some women just cannot cope with that. This is just my opinion so don't jump on my back about it. Like I said, I DON'T CONDONE IT.

Ever hear of the saying "don't judge a person until you've walked a mile in their shoes?"

The person who chooses abortion must be terribly desperate. There are people who get abortions because they can't afford to have or raise the child. They are not even in the financial or personal position to carry the child. So many complicated personal situations come into play, it would be too many to list here.

I am not for abortion, especially when there's a baby already formed. But it has to be up to each individual to make that choice.

Try not to be angry and hate filled when you see such videos. They don't give you all the information. Let love be your lead and say a prayer for the doctor and the patient who had to make such a terrible decision.

God be with you and all who are contemplating such monumental decisions.

Maybe they were raped, were victems of incest, can not physically carry the baby to term, perhaps the baby did not develop with a brain, perhaps there are situations that we are not to judge, and that we don't understand.

To stereotype all people who have abortions into a category of "selfish" isn't fair. Granted, there are those that abuse it - and use it like a form of birth control, and that's not right by any means. However hating the people or the doctors isn't going to solve the solution - it just breeds more contempt over an already sore subject.

Better question is why do Dr. perform them of course when they are not done for rape-medical reasons or any other reason that may be truly life threatening to the mom. People are just not educated enough on this. When you get prego and go to a Dr. they have lots of classes for you but when you go to a Dr, for an abortion all they care about is do you have the money or how far are you. Anyway I agree with you.

Many good sound reasons to have an abortion. You are the selfish one. Some foetus's abort naturally. Some foetus's will kill the mother. Some females are just not ready and that's OK too. Why should a rape victim perpetuate the genes of violence? Life is complicated and has many roads.

Only someone very young and inexperienced can afford to be so judgmental.

You may never change your mind about abortion, that is called pro choice and it is a right you have, for now.

You may have the opportunity to witness a few things in your life which may temper your harsh and naiive attitude.

Have you ever seen a baby cow killed?

Do you eat meat or eggs or fish or cheese or any food that has any of those ingredients in it?

Are your shoes leather?

Do you use skin lotion?

Do you wear lipstick?

Do you wear any clothes with faux fur trim? Faux fur is fake only in that it is from dogs instead of fine fur bearing animals.

Do you eat jello? Drink milk?

Do you use hair conditioner or make up?

All of the above is provided to you at the expense of an animal's life.

Perspective is a good thing, it comes with age and experience. If there is one thing you should always remember, that is that hate only hurts the person who hates. Hate is a terrible thing.

I had thought that by now our medical technology would have allowed us to transfer an unwanted fetus into the womb of a woman who couldn't conceive. I still think that is the answer and I hope technology does manage it someday.
