do something to take her/your mind off of it. go to the amusement park/mall/take a walk together and chat. what you can do is hear her problems out. give her many solutions to her problems. not just one. this gives her an option to decide and help sort it out in her head.

Remember these things:

1. Just being there for your friend might be all that you can do. You are a good friend, even if she is still in pain. The fact that you are sympathetic with her trouble means that you have a good heart.

2. If you don't take care of yourself, you will have nothing left to offer your friend when she needs you. Do something lighthearted, watch a funny movie, or talk to another friend who has a positive outlook on life. If nothing else, cry a little and then go for a walk, you'll feel better.

Just being there and being a good friend IS helping her, even if it doesn't feel like it. There's not much you can do in the way of her problems with her parents, unless she is being abused or something then you can tell someone. But, if her problems are like, they don't understand her/won't let her date/control her/act mean to her or anything similar to that at all, you can't do much besides be a good friend that she can talk to.

Continue to be with her, and take her to places so she will forget her problems for a while at least, and let her be strong enough to face her problems and get through it, by talking to her and always contacting her and letting her contact you whenever she needs you.. let her talk out about everything so that she feels relived.. and soon she will be better,

Good Luck
