I have never filed a tax return before and I dont know if I should be expecting $50 or $2000. I earn $1000 per week out of which 288 is taken out for taxes. I know it totally depends on my circumstances so I just want a very vague answer, just something that will give me some idea of what to expect.

Expect low cause you're a taxable person (over $38?000), but you might have overpaid your taves, in which case expect some return. If you're under 18, the CPP and EI protion will all be excluded from taxable income.
