Sign, meaning sunsign in horoscope? What I believe is that we were born under a certain sign to learn what it is meant to teach us, so that in our next life we can ascend to the next sunsign. Then when we reach pisces and learn that sun signs lesson, we return to the creator (god).

No. Although some aspects of ones sign may clarify to a certain extent the personality profile we may have, it does not define our characteristics or that of which we could be. Many aspects in life will determine who we are as individuals i.e; upbringing, education, social influence, religion. We are also born not only under a star sign but a moon and sun sign so one virgo is not going to be typically having the same characteristics of another. I also believe that we have the ability to change ourselves to such a drastic extent that our personality and characteristics are able to reflect those of another totally different sign than that of which we were born under. There are also people that believe that they are "totally scorpio" and live by this. Thus, basing life decisions on how them as "Scorpio" will get along with another person and decide if a friendship is worth having, taking a job that he thinks he will do good in based on his sign and characteristics of that sign, etc.

No - base your life upon the answers you get from an 8 ball. It's just as real as someone's interpretation of our horoscope.
