If it's doing that, then maybe try some Windex ( no streaks!).
But I would suggest the Swiffer Wet Jet, it works great because it absorbs the liquid.

the concrete staining can be pretty but really cold, both in feel and looks, and remember if you fall it's a hard landing, most glasses or dishes will break immediately. This is the same with ceramic, pretty, many choices, but hard and can get slippery. The new pergo style floors and fairly stain resistant and carpet can get grungy really fast with a dog that messes. I'd be partial to getting the floor that you really want, keeping comfort, allergies and warmth in mind, (wood flooring with area rugs that can be easily cleaned are a great option with pets) however there is nothing wrong with crating the little dog when you aren't at home to keep the mess contained. The crate will basically become their "room" with toys, bed and water.

If it left water marks, it has some type of wood. Geez I'm afraid to recommend except plain warm water with a barely damp mop

I am in the cleaning business and here is our secret!
We use the swiffer, but instead of using t hose expensive refills,
We buy this cleaning cloth off the internet. You have to buy in packages of 5 but they are only like $3 bucks a piece. I have ordered them and use them on everything, especially cleaning windows and clean mirrors. They are made out of tiny fibers. They are guaranteed not to scratch and all you do is rinse the cloth under water, wring it out and wipe ANY surface with no streaks or scratch. Use em over and over. I have not thrown one away yet!
I am sold on this ...I encourage you to try it out….hope this helps…Steve
