Oh, yes, excellent! I was captivated by the people, the land, the poverty! I still get a lump in my throat over certain scenes: the little girl giving the young William Wallace the flower at his father and brother's funeral, the evil official slitting his wife's throat, the scene where he's killed. I get all choked up with Robert the Bruce prepares for battle at the very end of the movie, he's got that little handkerchief that was Wallace's and Wallace's wife. Of course, I have this "thing" for men in kilts and bagpipe music, LOL!

YES I DO!!! I admit I'm not into that sort of film and only went to see it because of good old Mel, but the film was just breathtaking - brilliantly directed, produced, scripted and acted. It has everything you could want in a film and I've watched it over and over. It's not often I've left the cinema in a daze, saying "oh. my. god!"

Great movie. Has action, a little of the love stuff, drama, the whole enchilada, even a little foreign language. Awesome movie over all.

As an english person i find the exaggerated retelling of this story offensive. Thats not to say that many of the things in Braveheart actually happened to the Scotch people. I feel it just served to fan the flames of the anti-english racists. I have nothing against the independence movement in Scotland either.

Brilliant. And the ending was perfect. Similar to Gladiator which was also a very good film.

As a Scot I get really cheesed off when people refer to me as being a bottle of whiskey...i.e. Scotch.

As for the film...Mel...you were rubbish mate.
