I'd like to gather some thoughts.

A thirty year old healthy male has just been diagnosed with a cancerous tumor(brain/lung/colon/etc.). Treatment could save him.

He decides to seek no further medical attention upon notification of this news. He starts winding up many of his affairs. As friends and family, what do you think of this decision?

I admire the courage he must have used to come to it. We all have our path to walk, some choose to keep going with whatever treatment is offered. To make a decision like this he has come to terms very quickly with his own mortality and possibly just wants to 'live' each day as it dawns for him on his terms.
Often, as we know, we hear of people who are told "it is treatable" in the initial diagnosis stage and then when treatment begins it is recognised as being 'particularly aggressive' or a secondary of the cancer is discovered.
It is definitely a personal choice he has made of the ultimate kind.
Support him on this journey and celebrate his life with him.
My heartfelt wishes to you and your friend, family member,

I think it's a personal decision that one can't judge. The treatments are never 100% guaranteed. Maybe he didn't want to go thru the hell of the treatment, perhaps he doesn't believe in chemically medicating yourself.
Of course I would be sad, but I'd also be respectful of his choice and support him in anyway I could.

I'ts his choice you'll be devas tated with the loss but treatment is painful and not a worthwhile quality of life I've known two people who've had cancer and died in pain from treatment one was a 6 yr old girl one was a 60 yr old woman

There is no guarantee that the treatment would save him and he would be in incredible pain. I have seen several family member be told that chemo and/or radiation therapy would save them and they suffered for months before they passed away.

We all have our choices to make. Just because the doctor says it can be treated, doesn't mean it can. Chemo and radiation are hard. I've seen people go through it, only to be told it didn't help. All you could do is accept it and love and support them.

your just going to have to enjoy the time you have. Chemo is hard and Radiation is difficult in its own way. Love him
